A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; directing the Department of Transportation to develop,
implement, and adhere to pavement investment guide; proposing coding for new
law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 174.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin (a) The Department of Transportation shall develop, implement, and adhere to a pavement
investment guide.

new text begin (b) Each department district office, in collaboration with the central office, must choose
priority roads for construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, or preservation within each
district. The central office shall review and approve all pavement selections for construction,
reconstruction, rehabilitation, or preservation and ensure that the pavement selection is
consistent with the pavement investment guide.
