  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to economic development; requiring the 
  1.3             commissioner of trade and economic development to 
  1.4             guarantee a loan from the Minnesota investment fund. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [MINNESOTA INVESTMENT FUND; LOAN GUARANTEE.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of trade and economic development shall 
  1.8   guarantee, from the Minnesota investment fund established under 
  1.9   Minnesota Statutes, section 116J.8731, a loan made by Morrison 
  1.10  county to provide the nonstate funds required as matching funds 
  1.11  for the appropriation to the commissioner under Laws 1996, 
  1.12  chapter 452, section 2, paragraph (c). 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1997.
