A bill for an act
 relating to education; appropriating money for research-based professional
development that includes "response to intervention" problem solving.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ST. CROIX RIVER EDUCATION DISTRICT.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2011 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of education for a grant to the St. Croix River
Education District to deliver standardized, research-based professional development in
problem solving, consistent with the uses listed in Laws 2007, chapter 146, article 2,
section 46, subdivision 17.

available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act not otherwise allocated
to school districts.
