A bill for an act
relating to the arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for the Perpich
Center for Arts Education.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; PERPICH CENTER FOR ARTS EDUCATION.

new text begin (a) $927,600 in fiscal year 2016 and $975,300 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated
from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the Perpich Center for Arts Education for
continuing and expanding the arts integration networks for the northeast and piloting
arts-integrated courses and additional rural regions with an online focus.

new text begin (b) $750,500 in fiscal year 2016 and $1,025,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated
from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the Perpich Center for Arts Education for
continuing and expanding the Turnaround Arts program to provide arts education in
low-performing schools.

new text begin (c) Up to 2-1/2 percent of the money appropriated may be used for the cost of
administering the arts integration networks and the Turnaround Arts program. This
appropriation is available until June 30, 2019.
