A bill for an act
relating to human services; modifying child care assistance payment of funds;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 119B.09, subdivision 10, as
amended.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 119B.09, subdivision 10, as amended by
Laws 2011, First Special Session chapter 9, article 1, section 4, is amended to read:


Subd. 10.

Payment of funds.

All federal, state, and local child care funds must
be paid directly to the parent when a provider cares for children in the children's own
home. In all other cases, all federal, state, and local child care funds must be paid directly
to the child care provider, either licensed or legal nonlicensed, on behalf of the eligible
family. Funds distributed under this chapter must not be used for child care services
that are provided for a child by a child care provider who resides in the same household
or occupies the same residence as the child.new text begin Union dues or fair share fees may not be
