relating to state lands; requiring sale of certain donated land.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SALE OF DONATED LAND.

new text begin (a) The commissioner of natural resources must sell at public auction all land
donated to the commissioner in fee title under Minnesota Statutes, section 84.085, on
or after January 1, 2005, provided the terms of the deed conveying the land to the
commissioner do not prohibit the commissioner from selling clear title to the land.

new text begin (b) Proceeds from the sale of land under paragraph (a) must be deposited in the
trunk highway fund.
