A bill for an act
relating to veterans; appropriating money for a grant to the Asian Pacific American
Housing Consortium's nonprofit veterans service provider organizations serving
veterans, persons with United States military service, and their families.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin (a) $250,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2015 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of veterans affairs for a grant to the Asian
Pacific American Housing Consortium's nonprofit veteran service provider organizations
serving veterans, persons with United States military service, and the families of veterans
and military personnel. The grant is for building capacity in developing and supporting
affordable housing, innovative housing services including case plans, education, training,
employment, advocacy, and other related assistance; and full cycle homeownership
services for Minnesota veterans and other persons with United States military service, and
the families of veterans and military personnel who are in need of housing, homeless, or in
danger of homelessness.

with all other available programs for veterans, persons with United States military service,
and the families of veterans and military personnel.
