A bill for an act
 relating to metropolitan government; appropriating money to the Metropolitan
Council for regional parks and trails operation and maintenance.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS; METROPOLITAN COUNCIL.

new text begin (a) $14,330,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $14,330,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated
from the general fund to the Metropolitan Council for metropolitan area regional parks
operation and maintenance according to Minnesota Statutes, section 473.351.

new text begin (b) $5,670,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $5,670,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated
from the natural resources fund to the Metropolitan Council for metropolitan area regional
parks and trails maintenance and operations. This appropriation is from the revenue deposited
in the natural resources fund under Minnesota Statutes, section 297A.94, paragraph (e),
clause (3).
