  1.2             relating to education; delaying campus student 
  1.3             association referendum on statewide affiliation for a 
  1.4             certain period of time. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [STUDENT ASSOCIATION CONSOLIDATION.] 
  1.7      A campus student association shall not hold a referendum to 
  1.8   determine statewide affiliation before May 1, 1998, or the 
  1.9   statewide student associations for the community colleges and 
  1.10  technical colleges vote to consolidate, whichever is sooner.
