relating to administrative hearings; requiring transfer of costs incurred for certain
hearings; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 14.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin The chief administrative law judge shall certify to the commissioner of management
and budget the total costs incurred for data practices hearings under section 13.085 and
election campaign violation hearings under section 211B.35 during each fiscal year.
The commissioner of management and budget shall transfer the amount of the certified
costs incurred for these activities from the general fund to the administrative hearings
account under section 14.54. The transfers authorized under this section may occur
quarterly throughout the fiscal year, based on quarterly costs and revenue reports, with
final certification and reconciliation after each fiscal year.
