  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state government; requiring certain 
  1.3             purchases of, or on behalf of, the department of 
  1.4             corrections to be made in the state; proposing coding 
  1.5             for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16C. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [16C.125] [CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES; PURCHASE OF 
  1.8   WOOL BLANKETS MADE IN STATE.] 
  1.9      When purchasing blankets to be provided to inmates confined 
  1.10  to correctional facilities or other facilities of the department 
  1.11  of corrections, the commissioner or the commissioner of 
  1.12  corrections shall purchase wool blankets made in the state.  
  1.13  This section also applies to such purchases made by others on 
  1.14  the commissioner's or commissioner of correction's behalf.
