relating to state government; appropriating money for public educational radio
stations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL RADIO STATIONS.

new text begin $750,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $750,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of administration for community service grants. No indirect
costs may be claimed by an institution or governing body for these grants. Grants must be
allocated after considering the recommendations of the Association of Minnesota Public
Educational Radio Stations according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.14.

Sec. 2. new text begin APPROPRIATION; PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL RADIO STATIONS.

new text begin $850,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of administration for grants to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio
Stations for the purchase of emergency equipment and increased cybersecurity and broadcast
technology. No indirect costs may be claimed by an institution or governing body for these
grants. Grants must be allocated after considering the recommendations of the Association
of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations according to Minnesota Statutes, section
129D.14. This is a onetime appropriation.
