  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to judicial standards; appropriating money to 
  1.3             the board of judicial standards. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [BOARD ON JUDICIAL STANDARDS.] 
  1.6      $35,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2003 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the board on judicial standards to fund the 
  1.8   costs of an unanticipated public hearing regarding disciplinary 
  1.9   action against a judge.  This is a onetime appropriation and is 
  1.10  not added to the board's budget base. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
