  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to tax increment financing; exempting a tax 
  1.3             increment financing district in the city of Fairmont 
  1.4             from the state aid offset. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CITY OF FAIRMONT.] 
  1.7      The provisions of Minnesota Statutes, section 273.1399, do 
  1.8   not apply to the economic development tax increment financing 
  1.9   district in the city of Fairmont designated "Weigh-tronix." 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.11     This act is effective the day after compliance by the 
  1.12  governing body of the city of Fairmont with Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.13  section 645.021, subdivision 3.
