  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; form of licenses; reports 
  1.3             by licensees; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, 
  1.4             sections 97A.045, subdivision 5; and 97B.061. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 97A.045, 
  1.7   subdivision 5, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 5.  [POWER TO PRESCRIBE THE FORM OF PERMITS AND 
  1.9   LICENSES.] The commissioner may prescribe the form of permits, 
  1.10  licenses, and tags issued under the game and fish 
  1.11  laws.  Permits, licenses, tags, and stamps may be designed and 
  1.12  issued in a computer readable form to permit ready access to 
  1.13  information contained thereon. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 97B.061, is 
  1.15  amended to read: 
  1.16     97B.061 [REPORTS AND RECORDS.] 
  1.17     If requested by the commissioner, a person who has taken 
  1.18  game must submit a report to the commissioner on a furnished 
  1.19  form before March 15, stating the number and or kind of each 
  1.20  game animal taken during the preceding license year.  
  1.21     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.22     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.23  enactment.
