  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money for 
  1.3             grants to Hennepin county sheriff's office and the 
  1.4             Minneapolis police department for operation of the FBI 
  1.5             Drugfire computer system. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [FBI DRUGFIRE COMPUTER PROGRAM; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $150,000 is appropriated for fiscal year 1998 from the 
  1.9   general fund to the commissioner of public safety for 
  1.10  distribution as grants of $75,000 each to the Hennepin county 
  1.11  sheriff's office and the Minneapolis police department for 
  1.12  implementation of first year costs of operating the FBI Drugfire 
  1.13  computer program for analyzing bullets and bullet casings.
