  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to consumer protection; consumer warranties; 
  1.3             requiring the transferability of certain warranties; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapter 325G. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [325G.193] [TRANSFERABILITY OF CERTAIN 
  1.8   WARRANTIES.] 
  1.9      An express or implied warranty arising out of a consumer 
  1.10  sale of real property goods extends to a person to whom title to 
  1.11  the real property has been transferred during the warranty 
  1.12  term.  The maker of the warranty may not exclude or limit the 
  1.13  operation of this section.  
  1.14     For purposes of this section, "real property goods" means 
  1.15  goods furnished or used, at the time of sale or subsequently, in 
  1.16  the modernization, rehabilitation, repair, alteration, 
  1.17  improvement, or construction of real property so as to be become 
  1.18  part of the real property whether or not it is severable from it.
