A bill for an act
relating to education finance; extending the term of expiring operating referenda
by two years.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin OPERATING REFERENDUM EXTENSION.

Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 126C.17, or any other law to the
contrary, a district's operating referendum authority that would otherwise expire for
revenue for fiscal year 2013 or 2014 continues for fiscal years 2013 and 2014 and does
not expire until fiscal year 2015.
