A bill for an act
relating to clean water; appropriating money for phosphorous reduction in Lake
St. Croix.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION; LAKE ST. CROIX; PHOSPHOROUS REDUCTION.

$200,000 in fiscal year 2018 and $200,000 in fiscal year 2019 are appropriated from the
clean water fund to the commissioner of the Pollution Control Agency for coordination with
the state of Wisconsin and the National Park Service on comprehensive phosphorous
reduction activities in the Minnesota portion of Lake St. Croix on the St. Croix River. The
commissioner must work with the St. Croix Basin Water Resources Planning Team and the
St. Croix River Association to implement the water monitoring and phosphorous reduction
activities.
