A bill for an act
relating to telecommunications; making a violation of the federal Do Not Call
Rule a violation of state law; providing penalties; proposing coding for new law
in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 325E.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin (a) No person shall make any telephone call to a telephone number in Minnesota that
violates the Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call Rule, Code of Federal Regulations,
title 16, section 310.4(b)(1)(iii), or the Federal Communication Commission's Do Not Call
Rule, Code of Federal Regulations, title 47, section 64.1200(c)(2) and (d).
