  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to natural resources and pollution control; 
  1.3             appropriating money for research on amphibians. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $150,000 in fiscal year 1998 and $150,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   1999 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner 
  1.8   of the pollution control agency to conduct field investigations, 
  1.9   sampling, and chemical analysis on frogs with reproductive 
  1.10  problems.  The commissioner must report on results of the work 
  1.11  to the chairs of the house and senate policy and finance 
  1.12  committees on environment and natural resources by October 1, 
  1.13  1999.
