relating to human services; appropriating money for
community action grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COMMUNITY ACTION GRANTS.

new text begin (a) $5,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2006 and
$5,500,000 in fiscal year 2007 is appropriated from the general
fund to the commissioner of human services for community action
grants under Minnesota Statutes, sections 119A.374 to 119A.376.

new text begin (b) In fiscal year 2008 and after, the base is $5,500,000
from the general fund each fiscal year.

new text begin Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is
available in the second year.
