relating to energy; providing funding for low-income heating assistance;
appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin HEATING ASSISTANCE; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of commerce
for distribution to eligible households for home heating assistance during the 2007
calendar year. The commissioner must distribute funds to eligible households according
to the formula developed for the distribution of the federal Low-Income Home Energy
Assistance Program for fiscal year 2008.
