relating to human services; appropriating money for a regional safety service
center.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $650,000 in fiscal year 2014 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of human services for a grant to the city of Maplewood to design, renovate,
and equip the Harriet Tubman Center East to be used as a regional safety service center
to provide shelter for trafficked woman and girls and victims of domestic violence, legal
services, youth programs, mental and chemical health services, and community education.
