  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; transferring $100,000,000 from 
  1.3             budget surplus to highway user tax distribution fund. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [REVENUE TRANSFER.] 
  1.6      The commissioner of finance shall transfer $100,000,000 
  1.7   from the general fund to the highway user tax distribution fund 
  1.8   on July 1, 1997. 
  1.9      Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.10     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
