A bill for an act
relating to higher education; providing aid for Minnesota state two-year colleges
located outside of the metropolitan area; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SUPPLEMENTAL AID FOR TWO-YEAR MNSCU COLLEGES;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $3,600,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $3,600,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from
the general fund to the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities
to provide supplemental aid for operations and maintenance of two-year colleges in the
system. In each year, the board shall transfer $100,000 for each campus not located in a
metropolitan county, as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 473.121, subdivision 4, to
the president of the college that includes that campus.
