  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; allowing the commissioner 
  1.3             to approve certain MFIP plans. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA MFIP PILOT PROJECT.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 256J.53, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, job counselors may approve employment plans that 
  1.8   include the University of Minnesota student parent MFIP 
  1.9   program.  Plans must support participation in the program and 
  1.10  require participants to accept the job guaranteed by the 
  1.11  University of Minnesota, or a comparably paid job, at the end of 
  1.12  the second year of education.
