A bill for an act
relating to liquor; prohibiting the commissioner of public safety from suspending
or revoking certain licenses due to COVID-related executive order violations;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [340A.4155] NO SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION FOR VIOLATION
OF CERTAIN EXECUTIVE ORDERS.

new text begin Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the commissioner or local licensing
authority must not suspend or revoke the following licenses, permits, or cards issued to a
restaurant if the suspension or revocation is due solely to a violation of Executive Order
20-99, paragraph 7.c.iii, or any subsequent order closing places of public accommodation
to ingress, egress, use, and occupancy by members of the public during the peacetime
emergency declared under chapter 12 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

paragraph (a), clause (2), or subdivision 6, paragraph (a); and
