relating to transportation; appropriating money for a Northstar Commuter Rail
extension feasibility study.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; NORTHSTAR COMMUTER RAIL.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
transportation for a feasibility study of extension of the Northstar Commuter Rail line from
Big Lake to Camp Ripley. From this appropriation, the commissioner may provide grants
to a local unit of government. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June
30, 2021.
