  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; authorizing a grant to special 
  1.3             school district No. 6, South St. Paul, for a full day 
  1.4             kindergarten program; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN GRANT.] 
  1.7      $140,000 in fiscal year 2000 and $140,000 in fiscal year 
  1.8   2001 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner 
  1.9   of children, families, and learning for a grant to special 
  1.10  school district No. 6, South St. Paul, for the operation of a 
  1.11  full day kindergarten program. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1999.
