A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; transferring money appropriated for the Bayport
storm sewer project to the city of Oak Park Heights for a pedestrian tunnel;
amending Laws 2008, chapter 179, section 22, subdivision 8.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 2008, chapter 179, section 22, subdivision 8, is amended to read:

For a grant to the city of deleted text begin Bayport for
the Middle St. Croix River Watershed
Management Organization to complete the
sewer system extending from Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources pond
82-310P (the prison pond) in Bayport through
the Stillwater prison grounds to the St. Croix
River. This appropriation is in addition to the
appropriations in Laws 2000, chapter 492,
article 1, section 21, subdivision 8, to the
commissioner of corrections and

Heights to predesign, design, engineer, and
construct a pedestrian tunnel under County
State-Aid Highway 24 (Osgood Avenue)
from Valley View Park. In addition, the
unobligated amount from the appropriation
new text end in Laws 2005, chapter 20, article 1, section
23, subdivision 3, to the Public Facilities
Authority, for deleted text begin the same projectdeleted text end new text begin the Bayport
sewer project is available for the grant to the
city of Oak Park Heights for the pedestrian

available until at least 20 percent of the total
project cost is committed to the project from
