  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money for 
  1.3             a grant to the University of Minnesota's raptor center.
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $125,000 in fiscal year 1998 and $125,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   1999 are appropriated from the general fund to the office of 
  1.8   environmental assistance for a grant to the raptor center at the 
  1.9   University of Minnesota.  The appropriations must be used for 
  1.10  the electronic environmental education network that uses schools 
  1.11  and students in Minnesota in a comprehensive environmental 
  1.12  education program to use satellite-tracking with birds of prey.  
  1.13  The raptor center must seek cooperation from other interested 
  1.14  public and private partners.
