  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public employment; eliminating equitable 
  1.3             compensation relationships reporting requirements; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 471.992, by 
  1.5             adding a subdivision; repealing Minnesota Statutes 
  1.6             2002, section 471.999; Minnesota Rules, part 3920.1300.
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 471.992, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 5.  [MAINTAINING PAY EQUITY.] A political subdivision 
  1.11  must maintain equitable compensation relationships as described 
  1.12  under subdivision 1.  The commissioner may not require a 
  1.13  political subdivision to submit a report relating to equitable 
  1.14  compensation relationships. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.16     (a) Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 471.999, is repealed. 
  1.17     (b) Minnesota Rules 2001, part 3920.1300, is repealed.
