A bill for an act
relating to transportation; establishing a portion of Trunk Highway 200 as the
Veterans Memorial Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section
161.14, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 161.14, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Legislative Route No. 31, signed as
Trunk Highway 200 as of the effective date of this section, from the border with North
Dakota to the city of Mahnomen, is designated as the "Veterans Memorial Highway." The
commissioner shall adopt a suitable design to mark this highway and erect appropriate
signs, subject to section 161.139.
