  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; extending the wild rice 
  1.3             watershed district levy; amending Laws 1992, chapter 
  1.4             511, article 2, section 52. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Laws 1992, chapter 511, article 2, section 52, 
  1.7   is amended to read: 
  1.8      Sec. 52.  [WATERSHED DISTRICT LEVIES.] 
  1.9      (a) The Nine Mile Creek watershed district, the 
  1.10  Riley-Purgatory Bluff Creek watershed district, the Minnehaha 
  1.11  Creek watershed district, the Coon Creek watershed district, and 
  1.12  the Lower Minnesota River watershed district may levy in 1992 
  1.13  and thereafter a tax not to exceed $200,000 on property within 
  1.14  the district for the administrative fund.  The levy authorized 
  1.15  under this section is in lieu of section 103D.905, subdivision 
  1.16  3.  The administrative fund shall be used for the purposes 
  1.17  contained in Minnesota Statutes, section 103D.905, subdivision 
  1.18  3.  The board of managers shall make the levy for the 
  1.19  administrative fund in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.20  section 103D.915. 
  1.21     (b) The Wild Rice watershed district may levy, for taxes 
  1.22  payable in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 
  1.23  2001, and 2002, an ad valorem tax not to exceed $200,000 on 
  1.24  property within the district for the administrative fund.  The 
  1.25  additional $75,000 above the amount authorized in Minnesota 
  2.1   Statutes, section 103D.905, subdivision 3, must be used for 
  2.2   costs incurred in connection with the development and 
  2.3   maintenance of cost-sharing projects with the United States Army 
  2.4   Corps of Engineers.  The board of managers shall make the levy 
  2.5   for the administrative fund in accordance with Minnesota 
  2.6   Statutes, section 103D.915.
