  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to occupations; extending the sunset relating 
  1.3             to state licensing of Minneapolis building 
  1.4             contractors; amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 
  1.5             326.991, subdivision 1. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 326.991, 
  1.8   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subdivision 1.  The license requirement under section 
  1.10  326.84 does not apply to a residential building contractor, 
  1.11  residential remodeler, or specialty contractor licensed by the 
  1.12  city of Minneapolis and who is performing work within the legal 
  1.13  boundaries of that municipality.  
  1.14     This subdivision expires March 31, 2000 2005.
