  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for a 
  1.3             regional planning management study. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [REGIONAL PLANNING MANAGEMENT STUDY.] 
  1.6      $50,000 in fiscal year 2002 is appropriated from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.8   learning for a grant to independent school district No. 424, 
  1.9   Lester Prairie, for a regional planning management study to 
  1.10  review cooperation and consolidation for area learning centers, 
  1.11  special education, technology education, vocational education, 
  1.12  distance learning, and other programs.  This study is to be done 
  1.13  in collaboration with independent school district Nos. 108, 
  1.14  Norwood; 110, Waconia; 111, Watertown-Mayer; and 2859, 
  1.15  Glenco-Silver Lake; Central Area Learning Center; Meeker and 
  1.16  Wright Special Education Cooperative; and Crow River Special 
  1.17  Education Cooperative.  This appropriation is available until 
  1.18  June 30, 2003.
