A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for Voyageurs National Park
clean water project; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Appropriation. new text end

new text begin (a) $6,000,000 is appropriated from the bond
proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority to acquire land or interests in land,
and to design, engineer, construct, and equip sanitary sewage systems and facilities to
implement the Voyageurs National Park clean water project comprehensive plan. Of this
appropriation, $5,000,000 is for a grant to Koochiching County and $1,000,000 is for a
grant to Kabetogama Township.

new text begin (b) This appropriation is in addition to the appropriation in Laws 2014, chapter
294, section 22, subdivision 7. Any money remaining from this appropriation after
completion of the projects in paragraph (a) may be used for other projects described in
the comprehensive plan.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
bonds of the state in an amount up to $6,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
