  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             Minnesota learning resource center. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.7   LEARNING.] The following sum is appropriated from the general 
  1.8   fund to the department of children, families, and learning in 
  1.9   the fiscal year indicated. 
  1.10     Subd. 2.  [MINNESOTA LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER.] For a grant 
  1.11  to the A Chance To Grow/New Visions for start-up costs related 
  1.12  to implementing the Minnesota learning resource center's 
  1.13  comprehensive training program for education professionals 
  1.14  charged with helping children acquire basic reading and math 
  1.15  skills: 
  1.16       $500,000     .....     2000
  1.17     This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001.
