  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; providing for a grant 
  1.3             to school district No. 6067, Tri-District; authorizing 
  1.4             state bonds; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION AND BOND SALE.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] $1,700,000 is appropriated 
  1.8   from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of children, 
  1.9   families, and learning for a metropolitan magnet school grant to 
  1.10  school district No. 6067, Tri-District, to acquire land for, 
  1.11  design, construct, furnish, and equip a new school building.  
  1.12  The appropriation in this subdivision is in addition to 
  1.13  appropriations in Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 5, subdivision 
  1.14  5; Laws 1999, chapter 240, article 1, section 3; and Laws 2000, 
  1.15  chapter 492, article 1, section 5, subdivision 2. 
  1.16     Subd. 2.  [BOND SALE.] To provide the money appropriated in 
  1.17  this section from the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of 
  1.18  finance, on request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds 
  1.19  of the state in an amount up to $1,700,000 in the manner, upon 
  1.20  the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.21  sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.22  article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.23     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.24  following final enactment.
