A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money from the clean water fund
for restoration of infested waters and for prevention activities and increased
inspections.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES; RESTORATION
OF INFESTED WATERS.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2013 are appropriated
from the clean water fund to the commissioner of natural resources for additional
restoration projects in infested waters designated under Minnesota Statutes, section
84D.03.

Sec. 2. new text begin APPROPRIATION; AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES; PREVENTION
ACTIVITIES AND INCREASED INSPECTIONS.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2012 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2013 are appropriated
from the clean water fund to the commissioner of natural resources for additional aquatic
invasive species prevention activities and increased inspections. Of these amounts, $.......
is available each year to contract for services for emergency invasive species prevention
work as provided under Minnesota Statutes, section 84D.02, subdivision 7.
