A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for supportive housing on
the campus of the Hastings Veterans Home; authorizing the issuance of general
obligation bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; HASTINGS VETERANS HOME SUPPORTIVE
HOUSING.

new text begin $7,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner
of administration to complete design for and to construct, furnish, and equip 30 units
of permanent supportive housing for veterans with disabilities on the campus of the
Minnesota Veterans Home-Hastings. The permanent supportive housing will consist of 30
efficiency apartments for single adults. Staff at the Minnesota Veterans Home-Hastings
will be expected to provide property management and supportive services for the housing
unit.

Sec. 2. new text begin BOND SALE.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated by section 1 from the bond proceeds fund,
the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an amount up to
$7,000,000 in the manner, on the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota
Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI,
sections 4 to 7.
