A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; appropriating money for additional Cuba agricultural
marketing efforts and outreach.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin AGRICULTURAL EXPORTS TO CUBA; OUTREACH.

new text begin $50,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $50,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of agriculture to (1) enhance the commissioner's efforts
to identify existing and emerging opportunities for Minnesota's agricultural producers and
processors to export their products to Cuba, consistent with federal law, and (2) effectively
communicate these opportunities to the producers and processors.
