A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money for a southern and
southwestern Minnesota initiative foundation collaborative project.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SOUTHERN AND SOUTHWESTERN MINNESOTA INITIATIVE
FOUNDATION COLLABORATIVE PILOT PROJECT; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $200,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $200,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development
for a grant to develop and implement a southern and southwestern Minnesota initiative
foundation collaborative pilot project. Funds available under this section must be used to
support and develop entrepreneurs in diverse populations in southern and southwestern
Minnesota. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until expended.
