relating to human services; modifying consumer-directed community supports.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DISABILITY WAIVERS; CONSUMER-DIRECTED COMMUNITY
SUPPORTS BUDGET METHODOLOGY FOR ADULTS.

new text begin (a) Effective upon federal approval, for adults who need support services during
the day and choose the consumer-directed community supports option through one
of the home- and community-based waivers for persons with disabilities, the budget
methodology shall include an increase to cover the cost of services needed when school
attendance ends due to graduation or age. This budget methodology cost increase shall
vary based on the type of waiver and on the cost of services during the day, including
supported employment services for waiver participants with different levels of need.

an amendment to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the budget
methodology change under paragraph (a).
