  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to employment; providing for HIV/AIDS in the 
  1.3             workplace education; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $75,000 is appropriated from the general fund for the 
  1.7   biennium ending June 30, 2005, to the commissioner of economic 
  1.8   security for the rehabilitation services branch to provide 
  1.9   education to employers to support HIV/AIDS general education and 
  1.10  awareness and to improve capacities to manage HIV/AIDS in the 
  1.11  workplace.  This appropriation is to contract with a 
  1.12  community-based organization for education and legal and 
  1.13  technical assistance for employers and their employees.  Of this 
  1.14  amount, $40,000 is for fiscal year 2004 and, contingent upon 
  1.15  presentation of a plan that demonstrates commitments of private 
  1.16  support to sustain this service, $35,000 is for fiscal year 2005.
