  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to civil actions; municipal tort liability; 
  1.3             excluding from liability losses due to special hunting 
  1.4             or trapping to control wildlife; amending Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes 1998, section 466.03, by adding a subdivision.
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 466.03, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 19.  [SPECIAL HUNTING OR TRAPPING.] Any claim for a 
  1.10  loss resulting from a special hunting or trapping season set by 
  1.11  a municipality to control wildlife population. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective August 1, 1999, and applies to a 
  1.14  loss occurring on or after that date.
