  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public employment; requiring payment of 
  1.3             the prevailing wage rate to state employees engaged in 
  1.4             the erection, construction, remodeling, or repairing 
  1.5             of public buildings or works; proposing coding for new 
  1.6             law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 177. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [177.425] [STATE EMPLOYEES.] 
  1.9      In accordance with section 177.41, state employees engaged 
  1.10  in the erection, construction, remodeling, or repairing of state 
  1.11  buildings and other works may not be paid a lesser rate of wages 
  1.12  than the prevailing wage rate in the same or most similar trade 
  1.13  or occupation in the area.
