A bill for an act
relating to workforce development; appropriating money for a grant to Big Brothers
Big Sisters.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2022 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2023 are appropriated from the
workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development
for a grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities for workforce readiness,
employment exploration, and skills development for youth ages 12 to 21. The grant must
serve youth in the Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters in the Twin Cities, central Minnesota,
and southern Minnesota.
