  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; designating I-94 as the Purple 
  1.3             Heart Trail; amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 
  1.4             161.14, by adding a subdivision.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 161.14, is 
  1.7   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 51.  [PURPLE HEART TRAIL.] Statutory Route No. 392, 
  1.9   described in section 161.12 and marked on the effective date of 
  1.10  this section as interstate highway 94, is designated in its 
  1.11  entirety within Minnesota as the Purple Heart Trail.  Subject to 
  1.12  section 161.139, the commissioner shall adopt a suitable marking 
  1.13  design to mark this highway and erect appropriate signs at each 
  1.14  safety rest area located on the highway.
